CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION
Classroom instruction is an important part of the Driver Education program. It is designed to give students basic information on a variety of topics related to the safe operation of a motor vehicle including motor vehicle laws, the physics of driving, perception, judgment, driver fitness, and most importantly, how to interact with people on the road. The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles requires that students receive a minimum of 24 hours of classroom instruction.
Driving is more than just maneuvering a car through traffic. A driver must learn to interact with other users on the road and the classroom provides this instruction. This process takes training over an extended period of time under the supervision of both myself and parents.
